Pacing through the cramped footpaths of Railway bridges
Ensuring that one doesn’t miss the 8:39 AM ki local
Some speeding and some running but you can’t spot anyone strolling
Wearing their bags in the front to make sure Jo jhola unke sapne purae karta hai uska koi hissa chor chura na le
Yaha koi idli medhu vada khake peth bhar raha hai ya phir 20rs mei 2 banana khake
But at the moment sabke to-do list mei ek common task hai

To catch that 8:39 ki local💪🏽
One unsaid rule about catching a local is…no one waits for the local to stop to get down or get in the train agar nashte ke bajai gaali khaake peth bharna hai then zaroor ye rule todna
A train like this is a spectator’s bliss
Different personalities that we see is not to be missed
Ek baar chalti train mei chad gaye toh you either find a seat or a place where you know one of the passengers is getting down… the disappointment when they hear you are getting down somewhere far… i know sis i know
The journey starts with being blessed by a transwoman.. a good way to start your day

A few choose to enchant the journey with their beautiful voices.. it baffles me to understand what the earnnings from that singing does to them but they are diligently at it
A lady in her 60s selling chocolates was warmly greeted by passengers and asked for here whereabouts, apparently her chocolates were a hit and were missed. Her great sales were to be credited to her indulgent personality too
If you are fortunate, you will come across a cancer survivor who carries a mike and a speaker to sing and collect donations for cancer warriors
You see, this city is HOPE
You will also find passengers consuming content from fellow passengers phone, quite a sight to see them trying to peep into others phone while not making it too obvious
This city will amaze you

I met a pilot and we spoke for 10 stations I had multiple TIL moments
For a second there I thought what stopped me from considering such career choices… sigh… anyway…
Also there are these once in a blue moon cat fights, the sass in the bicker will definitely raise your eyebrows
All these observations because apparently you are lucky if you travel in the opposite direction and get a place to sit otherwise I doubt anyone even has a shot at standing and breathing peacefully let alone writing

This city has a lot to give - Beaches, marine drive(“peace-maker” to my ♥ ), food at any odd hour, traffic at any odd hour, beautiful skies, unbelievable shelter’s cost, hustlers, humidity, tall buildings, Janmashtami, Lalbaug cha raja, flash mob barsaat, gradience of survival to luxury, Arya Bhavan, Lepcha momos, Extravagant cars and the list knows no bounds
Complaints toh bohot niklengi … but appreciate bhi kar lete hai thoda
